We are thrilled to announce that the Oxford CCAI Team had two papers accepted at CHI'2024. Ge Wang, Jun Zhao, Max Van Kleek and Nigel Shadbolt. KOALA Hero Toolkit: A New Approach to Inform Families of Mobile Datafication Risks.

The Oxford CCAI has recently developed an innovative approach to help families become more aware of data risks on mobile devices. As the holiday season approaches, we want to help families understand the potential data risks on mobile devices, especially when children go online with tablets or smartphones.

We are really excited to announce an upcoming Special Issue on Child-Centered AI has been accepted by IJHCS. The issue will be guest edited by Dr Jun Zhao, University of Oxford Dr Grace C Lin, MIT Dr Zhen Bai, University of Rochester Dr Jason C Yip, University of Washington The issue will be assisted by Ge Wang, Kaiwen Sun and Ayça Atabey.

On 2 July, Dr Zhao presented Oxford CCAI research at the Oxford Chinese Student and Scholars Association. In this presentation, Dr. Zhao discussed the current challenges and opportunities of developing child-centered AI for children in the UK.

We are really excited that our paper ‘Before and after China’s new Data Laws: Privacy in Apps’ has not only been accepted by the 7th Workshop on Technology and Consumer Protection (ConPro'23) but also received Best Paper award.

We are super excited that two research papers led by Ani have been accepted by CSCW'23 and IMWUT'23: How Should We Support Designing Privacy-Friendly Apps for Children? Using a Research through Design Process to Understand Developers’ Needs and Challenges.

We are super excited that our CHI2023 paper ‘Treat me as your friend, not a number in your database’ received a Best Paper award, and our paper ‘12 Ways to Empower’ received an Honorable Mention award!

The Oxford CCAI (Child-Centred AI) team had two papers accepted at CHI'2023. Children of this generation are often the early adopters of emerging services and technologies, having grown up as ‘digital natives’.

We are very pleased to annouce that our workshop “Child-Centred AI Design: Definition, Operation, and Considerations” has been acceppted by CHI'2023 and will be hosted in a hybrid mode on 23 April, 2023, in Hamburgh, Germany.
